International Society for Medical Publication Professionals

ISMPP is the only not-for-profit organization founded by medical publication professionals for medical publication professionals involved in the publication of medical research, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and device companies, medical publications and communications agencies, medical journal publishers and editors, and professional medical writers.

American Society of Clinical Oncology

The American Society of Clinical Oncology is a non-profit organization founded in 1964 to improve cancer care and prevention. More than 27,000 oncology practitioners belong to ASCO, representing all oncology disciplines and subspecialties. Members include physicians and health-care professionals in all levels of the practice of oncology.

National Comprehensive Cancer Network

The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), a not-for-profit alliance of 21 of the world’s leading cancer centers, is dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer. NCCN develops resources that present valuable information to the numerous stakeholders in the health care delivery system. NCCN also promotes the importance of continuous quality improvement and recognizes the significance of creating clinical practice guidelines appropriate for use by patients, clinicians, and other health care decision-makers.

American Academy of Neurology

The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) is an international professional association of more than 21,000 neurologists and neuroscience professionals dedicated to providing the best possible care for patients with neurological disorders.

American Academy of Ophthalmology

The American Academy of Ophthalmology is the largest national membership association of ophthalmologists, medical and osteopathic doctors who provide comprehensive eye care, including medical, surgical and optical care.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

The FDA is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services and is responsible for protecting the public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation. The FDA is also responsible for advancing the public health by helping to speed innovations that make medicines and foods more effective, safer, and more affordable; and helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.

PubMed

PubMed was developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH). PubMed provides access to citations from biomedical literature. PubMed also provides access and links to the other Entrez molecular biology resources. Publishers participating in PubMed electronically submit their citations to NCBI prior to or at the time of publication. If the publisher has a web site that offers full-text of its journals, PubMed provides links to that site as well as biological resources, consumer health information, research tools, and more.
